Issue des travaux de Fritz Perls (psychiatre, psychanalyste allemand) et de Paul Goodman (\u00e9crivain am\u00e9ricain des ann\u00e9es 1950), la Gestalt-th\u00e9rapie s&rsquo;inspire des courants psychanalytique, existentiel et ph\u00e9nom\u00e9nologique consid\u00e9rant la personne dans sa globalit\u00e9. La sp\u00e9cificit\u00e9 de cette pratique est la prise en compte de toutes les modalit\u00e9s &#8211; intellectuelles, physiques, \u00e9motionnelles, relationnelles et spirituelles &#8211; de notre pr\u00e9sence \u00e0 nous-m\u00eame, \u00e0 l&rsquo;autre et \u00e0 l&rsquo;environnement. Dans ce contexte, la pathologie y est con\u00e7ue comme une \u00ab\u00a0maladie de la relation\u00a0\u00bb \u00e0 l&rsquo;autre et\/ou au monde. C&rsquo;est ce disfonctionnement de nos processus d&rsquo;ajustement qui nous fait \u00e9prouver une souffrance, un enfermement, une insuffisance, le sentiment de subir notre vie ; cela peut g\u00e9n\u00e9rer des angoisses, des peurs, de l&rsquo;ennui&#8230;, pour lesquels nous allons entreprendre une psychoth\u00e9rapie.
